Research Interests and Accomplishments
Dr. T focuses on expanding the understanding of hypothalamic dysfunction in Fibromyalgia (FMS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFIDS). His work has led to the development of an effective treatment protocol for these diseases.
Dr. T was senior researcher on a recently published randomized, double blind, placebo controlled study of a treatment protocol which was found to be effective (in a previous open trial) for treatment of CFIDS/FMS. His SHIN treatment protocol was developed with the assistance of major NIH and University researchers in the field (co-authors include Barbara Bird, Robert Greenfield, Alan Weiss, Larry Muenz and Laurie Gould).
