Lyrica May Help Spastic Colon and Fibromyalgia Pain

Because we have numerous medications to relieve the pain of fibromyalgia, it's important to choose a pain-relieving drug that is likely to help with multiple problems — including spastic colon, a very common problem in people with CFS/FMS.

The good news from a recent study conducted by doctors at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine: the drug Lyrica (pregabalin), which is proven to help fibromyalgia pain, also can relieve spastic colon — reducing sensations of gas and pain by 25%.

Additional good news: a generic (and therefore less expensive) form of Lyrica has been approved by the FDA.
