End Fatigue
Back Pain
Back pain is one of the most common chronic pain conditions, afflicting an estimated 36 million Americans. Fortunately, it is also very treatable—the vast majority of time without surgery.
The most common causes of back pain are disc disease—where the pain often extends into your arms or legs, muscle spasm—in which case the area that hurts is very tender when you push on it, or arthritis. As we have discussed, muscle pain can be relieved by getting adequate sleep, nutritional and hormonal support, and treating hidden infections. Arthritis pain can usually be relieved by using glucosamine sulfate 500 mg 3 times a day plus MSM 3000 mg a day for six weeks. Sciatica and other disc pain can be eliminated the vast majority of the time using a simple, safe, and inexpensive intravenous treatment with an old medication called colchicine. It is given 1 mg intravenously each week for 6 weeks and disc pain is gone over 70% of the time by the 6th dose. The total cost for all six doses of colchicine is $18. Unfortunately, because of this, nobody pays to make sure your doctor hears about these treatments.
While going after the underlying cause of the pain, it is okay to mask it. Two excellent and safe prescription medications for this are Lidoderm patches and Ultram. Herbal remedies such as willow bark and Boswellia (also known as frankincense) can also be highly effective (see End Fatigue Pain Formula).
