Common Infections

BACKGROUND

Your body comes into contact with many infections, and most often can eliminate them without antibiotics. Though for severe pneumonias and some other infections it is a very good idea to add the antibiotics, for many milder infections, and especially for viral infections, the antibiotics may simply be counterproductive.

PREVENTION

To optimize your body's own defense systems:

General Diet Advice

Keep your nutrition solid

Keep your nutrition solid. Do this by avoiding excess sugars, eating whole foods, and getting a multivitamin in the form of a good multi-nutrient powder (see Energy Revitalization System).

Other Therapies & Advice

Sleep

Get your 8 hours of sleep a night (see Insomnia if needed).

Yeast infections

If you have chronic sinusitis or spastic colon/irritable bowel syndrome review those sections as well as the one on treating their underlying cause, which is often yeast/candida. Eliminating the yeast will take a major strain off your immune system.

TREATMENT

Recommended Supplements

Thymic protein

To treat an acute infection, take thymic protein — This natural thymic hormone mimic stimulates your immune system wonderfully. I recommend it be in everyone's medicine cabinet. Pour a packet of the powder under your tongue 3 times a day at the first sign of any infection, and let it absorb under your tongue. Take it till the infection resolves. You'll be impressed and even your kids will love it.
